2010 Board Training

The ICHS Board of Directors and staff met on June 11 with Stacy Sjogren of Out of the Woods Consulting for Board Training (which it seems you can never have enough).

A team building challenge was presented to the board. They began on one side of a virtual river with the instructions with the goal of all getting to the other side of the river at the same time, without stepping in the water. They were give four large rocks, one in the center of the river, two on the opposite edge and one that they could position where they needed it. Each person also had their own personal rock, which could be put down and lifted up as needed to accomplish this journey.
 
They did figure it out, but it took about 27 minutes, and did they ever learn a lot about each other doing it!
